Dr Robert Anderson OAM, fondly known as ‘Uncle Bob’.
‘Uncle Bob’ is an Elder of the Ngugi people of Mulgumpin, Moreton Island and former Chairman of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Advisory Board.
He spent much of his youth ‘romping’ in and around Kangaroo Point and East Brisbane and has often shared his story. Anderson Street in Kangaroo Point is named after him.
Here he is talking to locals on 28 August 2010 at an afternoon of storytelling and conversation in Raymond Park organised by then Councillor Helen Abrahams.
